Partnership with the ANENA
National association for the study of snow and avalanches (Snowlegend class)
www.anena.org

Since a good freerider is before anything else a freerider with a good knowledge of the mountain, each winter Snowlegend organise avalanches and snow class in la Grave with François Sivardière as teacher, director of ANENA. Those classes have as purpose to make free riders understand their responsibility regarding risks of accident linked to avalanches. This takes form as a serious program and an opportunity to learn from Rossignol Pro-riders, as some of them are attending the courses and are sharing their experiences from the field.
Each interns get deep information on the snow layer and it’s transformation. He’s informed on the impact of the topographies and the weather conditions on the stability of the snow layer, the forecast and probability of the avalanche risks, the safety manoeuvre to take and he receive some transceiver lesson. All in all, a theory and practice course, serious, interesting and exciting.
